UAE Announces Registration Dates for Hajj 2024

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has unveiled the registration dates for individuals looking to participate in the 2024 Islamic pilgrimage, Hajj. The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments has set the registration period from December 5 to 21 for prospective pilgrims.

In the upcoming year, Saudi Arabia will host pilgrims at Islam’s holiest sites in June, with the first group expected to arrive in May. Traditionally, pilgrims undertake this journey through authorized tour operators, and a list of these operators is available on the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments’ website. These operators provide comprehensive Hajj packages that include visa expenses, accommodations, transportation, and meals.

Last year marked the return to full-capacity Hajj pilgrimage for the first time since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2023, Saudi Arabia welcomed over 2 million pilgrims, a significant increase from the 900,000 in the previous year, as the kingdom lifted all Covid-related restrictions.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, and Muslims are obligated to undertake this pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime if they are physically and financially capable. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this sacred journey.
