The government has announced Hajj applications for 2025. Applications under the government scheme will open on November 18, per the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Prospective pilgrims can submit applications at designated banks from November 18 to December 3.
An extended deadline of December 6 applies for those with valid passports. The payment process involves three installments. Applicants must pay Rs. 200,000 upfront. Selected candidates in the draw must then pay Rs. 400,000, with the final balance due by February 10, 2025. Additional charges cover sacrificial animals and optional double or triple room occupancy. First-time applicants will receive priority in the government scheme, and the draw will occur on December 6. Total Hajj costs range between Rs. 10,75,000 and Rs. 11,75,000.
Eligibility criteria require good physical and mental health as per Saudi guidelines. Applicants born before February 12, 2013, qualify to apply. A valid medical certificate is also required.
Overseas Pakistanis may download the medical certificate forms from the Ministry’s website. Those awaiting passports can submit a provisional “token” application. Women may now travel without a Mahram but must specify family status on the application. The online application and payment process will make it easier for applicants nationwide.
