Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman (MBS) was declared “Most Influential Arab Leader 2022” in an opinion poll. The poll was conducted by the Arabic language RT channel. MBS won the title for the second time in a row.
Muhammad Bin Salman got 7,399,451 votes, which is 62.3% of the total votes. Millions of people participated in the poll for choosing the most influential Arab leader. The voting started on 15th December 2022 and ended on 9th January 2023, which included many other leaders.

According to the RT channel, the Saudi Prince broke the record in the history of opinion polls. MBS retained his position by securing 62.3% votes out of the total votes (11,877,546).
The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed ranked 3rd place in the poll. He got 2,950,543 votes with a percentage of 24.8% of total votes.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah AL-Sisi secured the third position in the poll with 1,387,497 votes.
Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, known as MBS is the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. He also serves as the chairman of the Council of Economic and Development affairs and chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs.
Muhammad Bin Salman is considered the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, even before his appointment as prime minister in 2022. He served as minister of defence from 2015 to 2022.
MBS is trying to reform and rebrand his country’s image internationally and within the kingdom. These include regulations restricting the powers of the religious police and improving women’s rights, such as the removal of the ban on female drivers in 2018 and the weakening of the male guardianship system in 2019.
Other developments under his reign include the first Saudi public concerts by a female singer. His policies increased the presence of women in the workforce. MBS opens the country to international tourists by introducing an e-visa system. The Saudi Vision 2030 program aims to diversify the country’s economy through investment in non-oil sectors including technology and tourism.
