On National Pet Day in 2023, the entire world celebrated Pearl, a little puppy that has been declared by Guinness World Records as the world’s tiniest dog. Pearl, a female Chihuahua was born on the First of September, 2020. Almost as long as a dollar bill, Pearl is only 9.14 cm tall and 12.7 cm long, making her smaller than a popsicle and also smaller than a TV remote.
When Pearl was born in the brood of her Chihuahua, Pearl’s owner, Vanesa Semler, learned that she had a special pet. Similarly, Pearl has developed into a healthy, happy puppy despite her small stature, delighting her owner and winning the affection of animal lovers all around the world.
In Orlando, Florida, at the Crystal Creek Animal Hospital, where she was born, the height was measured several times at various locations. Additionally, Each measurement was made in a perfect vertical path starting at the bottom of her front leg foot and ending at the top of the withers.
Pearl currently holds the title in Guinness World Records. She is the offspring of Marvellous Milly’s twin sister, according to GWR. Milly and Pearl were both 28 grams at the time of birth. Furthermore, Milly, a 1-pound Chihuahua born in 2011, is related to Pearl. Before she died in 2020, she stood 9.65 cm, or 3.8 inches, tall. She had previously held the title of the tiniest dog in the globe.
