In a momentous ceremony held at the President’s Secretariat, Coca-Cola Pakistan was honored with the prestigious “Rising Women Award for Economical Impact” by none other than President Arif Alvi himself. This esteemed accolade recognizes Coca-Cola Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to empowering women, particularly in the disadvantaged rural areas of the country, and its remarkable efforts in water sustainability despite numerous challenges.
The event, known as the Rising Women Awards, was organized by the Women Business Network and witnessed the presence of numerous notable industry players, esteemed dignitaries, diplomats, and prominent members of civil society, including the ambassadors of Italy and Austria.

The “Rising Women Award for Economical Impact” stands as a testament to Coca-Cola Pakistan’s resolute commitment to these vital causes and its unwavering support for empowering Pakistani women. One of its flagship programs, “Women and Water,” not only promotes responsible water management practices but also empowers countless women across Pakistan.
At the heart of this program lies a fundamental belief: when women thrive, communities prosper. Coca-Cola Pakistan has actively engaged women in water-related initiatives, providing them with opportunities for skill development and entrepreneurship. By empowering women as entrepreneurs and water stewards, the program has set off a positive ripple effect, benefiting entire communities.
Aisha Sarwari, Director of Public Affairs, Corporate, and Sustainability at Coca-Cola Pakistan and Afghanistan, explained, “Pakistan’s flood impacted compelled us to combine two of our three key sustainability pillars: Women and Water. While we did that, we also adopted innovation by making our water plants for communities independent of power infrastructure by using solar energy. This was a game-changer and allowed for many villages around rural areas to benefit from one plant.”
Coca-Cola’s extensive system in Pakistan boasts over 50 plants across the country, which have served a staggering 17 million people to date.
Coca-Cola, as a global company, is dedicated not only to refreshing the world with its diverse beverage portfolio but also to making positive contributions to society.
