Eid ul Adha Expected on June 17, 2024, in Pakistan

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Eid ul Adha is likely to be celebrated on Monday, June 17, 2024. The PMD’s Climate Data Processing Centre has predicted that the crescent moon for Dhul-Hijjah will be born on June 6 at 5:38 PM.

Moon Visibility in Karachi

The moon’s age in Karachi at sunset will be 26 hours and 8 minutes, with visibility expected to last for 72 minutes after sunset. The PMD has stated that the moon needs to be at least 19 hours old to be visible.

Official Announcement Pending

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will officially announce the date for Eid ul Adha in the coming days. The final decision will be based on moon sighting reports.

Eid ul Adha Holidays

The establishment division has announced holidays from June 17 to 19 for Eid ul Adha this year. Official notifications from the federal and provincial governments will be issued a few days before Eid, confirming the holiday schedule
