The Ministry of Religious Affairs received 20,170 applications for the regular Hajj scheme. Fifteen banks are processing applications nationwide. Meezan Bank leads with 4,143 submissions. Muslim Commercial Bank follows with 4,063, and United Bank Limited has 3,855 applications.
The government allocated 89,605 seats, including 5,000 under the sponsorship quota. Out of the total, 198 applications fall under this quota.
Applicants must deposit Rs. 200,000 with their submissions. The deadline for applications is December 3. However, the government may extend it.
On the first day, 1,995 people applied. By November 25, another 4,389 applications were submitted. Interest continues to rise as the deadline approaches.
