Rajinder Mahigwar Becomes Pakistan’s First Hindu Police Officer

Rajinder Mahigwar has made history as the first Hindu Pakistan’s Police Service (PSP) Officer in Pakistan. Recently appointed as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), he has started his duties in Faisalabad’s Gulberg Circle. This achievement marks a milestone for the Hindu PSP Officer in Pakistan.

Rajinder, from Badin, a district in Sindh with developmental challenges, cleared the prestigious Civil Services Examination (CSS). He expressed his excitement, saying, “The police allow us to directly engage with communities and address issues on the ground—something many other professions don’t offer.”

Punjab police officials have welcomed Rajinder’s appointment. They believe his presence will strengthen law enforcement while fostering inclusivity and trust among minorities. His perspective will help address challenges faced by marginalized communities and promote unity within the police force.

This achievement highlights a significant step toward minority representation in Pakistan’s public service. It signals the potential for progressive change within the country’s institutions, offering hope for a more inclusive and equitable society.
