This Sunday, December 15, 2024, diesel petrol prices will change. The government plans to raise the price of petrol by Rs. 0.81 per liter. Meanwhile, diesel prices are set for a decrease of Rs. 3.9 per liter.
The Pakistani rupee has remained stable, fluctuating between 277-278. As a result, HSD prices may drop to Rs. 254-255 per liter. On the other hand, MS petrol prices are likely to rise to Rs. 252-253 per liter. This follows recent hikes in both petrol and diesel prices.
International spot premiums could impact petrol prices. Since the premium dropped from $9.8 last month to $8.84 this fortnight, petrol prices might not rise as expected.
Furthermore, the government has temporarily increased the Inland Freight Equalization Margin (IFEM) by Rs. 2.5 per liter for petrol, diesel, kerosene, and light diesel oil. This change will influence the final fuel prices.
