The federal government has recently issued a notification, officially declaring a public holiday nationwide in honor of Iqbal Day, which falls on November 9.
According to the announcement from the Cabinet Division, the decision to observe a public holiday on Allama Iqbal Day has put an end to the various speculations surrounding the holiday. Notably, the public holiday for Iqbal Day had been revoked in 2015 but was reinstated by the government last year. The official list of public holidays for the year 2023, released in December, also included the confirmation of the Iqbal Day holiday.
