Valencia Floods Claim Lives of Two Young Pakistani Siblings

In a heartbreaking incident in Valencia, Spain, floods took the lives of two young siblings from a Pakistani family. The children—a 3.5-year-old girl and her 6-year-old brother—lost their lives as floodwaters rose quickly. Rescuers retrieved their bodies, but sadly, the rising waters had already taken them. Authorities will reunite the family with their loved ones’ remains after confirming their identities through DNA.

The Pakistani embassy in Spain shared the devastating news on social media, expressing deep condolences and pledging full support to the grieving family. To honor their privacy, the embassy refrained from sharing further information.

The floods also claimed the lives of a British couple, Terry and Dawn Turner, who lived in the nearby town of Pedralba. Their daughter, Ruth O’Loughlin, confirmed that search teams located their vehicle with both inside on November 2. Originally from Staffordshire, the couple had moved to Spain a decade ago, drawn to the area by its warm climate.

These tragic events have left communities devastated, with residents mourning these unexpected losses. In response, the Spanish Prime Minister declared three days of national mourning. As rescue teams remain active, officials warn that additional casualties may still surface, urging continued caution for everyone in affected areas.
