The highly anticipated Tekken 8 hasn’t even hit the shelves yet, but Arslan Ash has already made a resounding mark in the gaming community. In a recent Tekken 8 showcase event hosted by Evo, seven top-tier Tekken 7 players from around the world gathered for a pre-launch tournament, providing fans with a sneak peek into the upcoming game set to release on January 26, 2024.
The elite group of pro players included TM|Arslan Ash, DRX|Knee, Yamasa|Nobi, JDCR, Talon|Book, LowHigh, and Saint. The tournament adopted an “arcade ladder” format, allowing each player to select three characters in every set. In the event of a loss to a specific character in a first-to-3 match, players were required to switch to a different character. The matches followed a gauntlet format, with the winner staying on stage to face the next opponent.
Arslan Ash delivered a dominating performance, achieving a flawless 6-0 victory by defeating every player in the tournament. Notable highlights include a 3-0 win against both Knee and Book. While he faced challenges against LowHigh, Nobi, and Saint, going 3-2 against each, Arslan showcased his prowess with the new character, Azucena, along with Nina and Jun.

Arslan’s triumphant moment came in the finals against Book’s Jin. It’s worth noting that the Tekken 8 Evo showcase was based on the most recent beta version, and the final game may have some changes.
In addition to the thrilling competition, the event revealed Tekken 8’s final character roster. The game is set to launch on January 24, 2024. Arslan Ash’s exceptional performance has already elevated expectations for the upcoming release, solidifying his status as an unofficial Tekken 8 champion.
