Citizens can now effortlessly renew their learner’s permits from the comfort of their homes, marking a paradigm shift in the traditional process. The convenience doesn’t stop at learner’s permit renewal. According to the traffic police, citizens can look forward to additional online services, including license renewal, duplicate issuance, and the highly anticipated international license application. This holistic approach aims to bring comprehensive traffic solutions to the fingertips of the residents.

Acknowledging the challenges posed by long queues at Facilitation Centers, the Lahore Traffic Police anticipates a substantial reduction in rush, estimating up to 90%, with the introduction of these online facilities. This not only streamlines processes but also aligns with the commitment to providing efficient and accessible services to the public.

This move towards digitization follows an earlier initiative by the caretaker Punjab government. The recent launch of an online facility for obtaining a driving learner’s license has been widely welcomed. Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that citizens can conveniently apply through the Punjab Police app, available at 737 police stations and all Khidmat Marakiz across Punjab. This statewide accessibility underscores the commitment to making essential services available to every corner of the province.

  1. Create an Account: Begin the process by creating an account on the DLIMS licensing website.
  2. Fill out the Form: Complete the application form with the necessary details.
  3. Document Upload: Upload essential documents, including your picture and a scanned copy/picture of your original CNIC’s front and back.
  4. Payment Process: Generate a payment slip ID and conveniently pay through ATM, online banking, or mobile banking channels.

  • A medical certificate signed by a government doctor in case the applicant’s age is above 50 years.
