NUST signed an MoU with Universitas Airlangga Indonesia

University of Airlangga, Surabaya, a public university in Indonesia, has joined hands with NUST (National University of Science and Technology) for academic teamwork and community building.

On the invitation of Universitas Airlangga, the Rector of NUST, Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari, led the conference in Surabaya, Indonesia, to further explore more partnerships.

The visit included participating in the World Universities Association for Community Development (WUACD) and the International Conference on Community Development. During the proceedings, NUST signed an MOU with the Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, and accepted an invitation to join the WUACD. Recently the press release stated both universities endorsed the MOU. At Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, the stamping ceremony took place.  

 

 

 

WUACD is in connection with 31 “universities” so it would be beneficial to establish and develop, support and partnership with its team members. Australia, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, India, Korea, Libya, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Turkey, and Timor Leste universities. 

The representatives came from various rectories and presidential bodies at various universities.

In 2013 after the Talloires network, NUST joined the second esteemed syndicate. NUST will take part yearly in the conference and report on social development capabilities.

A bit about the univeristies: 

NUST is ranked the No.1 university in Pakistan, providing quality education in Engineering, IT, computer sciences, business studies, social sciences, architecture, and natural and applied biosciences. It offers undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. programs and has a strong network of investors, collaborators, and management. 

(UBAYA), now known as the University of Surabaya, is located in Rungkut, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Ngagel, Tenggilis (both in Surabaya), and Trawas are the names of three campuses built for other purposes. The diploma program takes place on the Ngagel campus and in the rectorate building. Undergraduate and postgraduate studies are on the Rungkut campus, considered the main campus, whereas outdoor training activities are done on the Trawas campus. It offers programs in law, pharmacy, engineering, biotechnology, business, economics, creative industry, medicine, and philosophy, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
