Sindh government has taken a pioneering step by introducing a diploma program in digital marketing across government colleges in the province. The diploma course, set to be implemented in 30 public sector colleges, including prominent institutions in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Sukkur, and Shaheed Benazirabad, has received a green signal from the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, solidifying its importance and relevance in the current educational landscape.
Sadaf Shaikh, Secretary of Colleges, shed light on the program, highlighting its one-year duration and the comprehensive curriculum that encompasses various aspects of digital marketing. With a focus on practical learning, students from diverse academic backgrounds, including Computer Science and other disciplines, are encouraged to enroll in the course, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the initiative.
Anticipating a surge in employment opportunities, the Secretary expressed optimism about the program’s potential to prepare students for future academic endeavors and professional ventures. Concurrently, the College Education Department’s launch of an online system for selecting college principals signifies a broader commitment to revamping administrative processes and ensuring the selection of competent leadership for government colleges in Sindh.
