The Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Larkana, Naseem Memon, has proposed outsourcing the matriculation and intermediate examinations throughout the entire province of Sindh.
This proposal aims to improve the examination system and prevent a bleak future for students. The current examination system has received significant criticism from all sectors of society. The results of entry tests for professional college admission have exposed widespread corruption, nepotism, favoritism, and inefficiency among examiners and board officials.
Memon believes that the only solution to this problem is to outsource the examination system to a reputable organization initially and then introduce technology to the boards after appropriate training and comprehension of the system.
He acknowledges that this proposal may cause trouble for those with vested interests in the present system. But, providing a transparent and fair learning system to future generations of the province is a constitutional duty.
Memon urges the controlling authority to approve the proposal to solicit expressions of interest through newspapers and conduct a technical evaluation via a central committee.
He has requested a prompt decision on this matter so that the outsourcing of the annual examinations for both SSC and HSC levels could be implemented in 2023.
