According to the reports, the national carrier’s income has risen after Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) partnership with Turkish Airlines.
Rs.2 billion has been made by PIA via Lahore and Islamabad flights to Istanbul because of partnership with Turkish airlines. Flights from Islamabad and Lahore to Istanbul in one-month have sold more than 38,000 tickets.
Currently, PIA has 6 flights per week to Istanbul from Islamabad and Lahore. On 15th November 2022, flights began from Lahore to Istanbul. PIA increased revenue by 2 million in such a short time period. It was possibly done only by the immense number of tickets being sold.
From Pakistani airports Lahore and Islamabad to Istanbul airport, most tickets are round-trip. Adding up to a total of 34 days, the expansion in income is totally honorable.
Additionally, increasing revenue by decreasing the price of north flights. To raise local tourism in winter, this revenue is done.
“Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister of Federal Aviation, has decided to offer incentives to boost tourism in northern regions”. The decision was made by the senior Pakistan International Airlines employee, Minister Saad and the Aviation Ministry during high-level discussion.
At the same time, announcing the discounted flight schedules for Chitral, Gilgit, and Skarduwere instructed by the Saad Aviation Minister. The discussion includes the domestic flight problem and flight schedule. PIA officials were ordered by Saad, the Aviation Minister, to improve the domestic flight schedule between Karachi, Lahore, and Sardu.
