Cadbury Dairy Milk Expands Cricket Scholarship Program for Girls in Pakistan

In a significant stride towards promoting women’s cricket and empowering young girls, Cadbury Dairy Milk (CDM) has announced the expansion of its cricket scholarship program during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) campaign. The initiative, known as #Getinthegame, aims to offer equal opportunities for talented young girls to nurture their cricketing skills and pursue their dreams across Pakistan.

The innovative approach involves granting a cricket scholarship to a deserving girl for every 100 runs scored at the PSL, potentially doubling or even tripling the total number of scholarships awarded. This expansion also sees the program reaching two new cities, Multan and Faisalabad, widening its impact and reach.

Sami Wahid, Managing Director of Mondelez Pakistan, expressed excitement about the extended support for women’s cricket through the partnership with the PSL. “By offering scholarships to young girls, we aim to encourage their participation in the sport and empower them for a stronger Pakistan,” she stated.

Wahid emphasized Mondelez’s commitment to leveling the playing field and advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. “Cricket scholarships for young girls are more than just an investment; they are a commitment to a brighter, more inclusive future,” he remarked. By investing in these scholarships, Mondelez is not only promoting sports but also contributing to creating leaders and change-makers in communities.

The initiative is a testament to CDM’s dedication to raising awareness about women’s cricket and fostering a culture of inclusivity and equal opportunities in sports. Together, this endeavor aims to create opportunities that inspire and empower the next generation of female leaders, ultimately contributing to a more diverse and inclusive sporting landscape.
